Iris Paper Folding-Kids Workshop 10am-12pm Originating in Holland in the 20th century, iris paper folding was originally crafted from old envelopes. During this fun workshop you will learn how to make these complicated, impressive looking cards! You will be shown how to fold your choice of craft paper (lots of colours and patterns to choose from) and how to arrange it in the iris design. The name ‘iris’ comes not from the flower but from the name of a shutter on an old style camera. The action of depressing the shutter creates the spiral effect. This craft is much easier than it looks! This Kids Art Workshop is at an introductory level. No previous experience needed. Artist age 5-15 Drop off and pick up. No need for parents/carers to stay unless they want to. Workshop takes place at Catz Cabin 25 Mere Lane, Sandiway, Northwich, Cheshire Please send your child with a water bottle and a snack. If you would like them to attend the second session of the day as well, please also send them with a packed lunch. Lunch will be from 12-12.30pm No need for you to pick them up in-between sessions.
